Did you know that the annual percentage rate for payday loans in Michigan is 390%?! Project GREEN is looking to collect 390 stories from payday loan borrowers – past and present – across the state of Michigan.
We will use these stories as warnings to other potential customers, information for our legislators, and pressure for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to stop undoing protections for at-risk borrowers. If you do not have a story to share from personal or observed experience, please use this space to comment on whether you think lenders should have to make sure someone has the ability to repay before giving out these loans.
