Mindy Ysasi

Milinda is CEO of GROW, a Community Development Financial Institution and microlender that offers loans to existing and aspiring business owners who lack access to traditional financing. Milinda co-founded the Latina Network of West Michigan, and is the elected Commissioner for the City of Grand Rapids 2nd Ward. Her enthusiasm for Project GREEN stems from her realization that in communities of color, there is certainly a focus on income, but not wealth generation. She appreciates Project GREEN’s very grassroots approach to personal economic empowerment, building lasting results through participants’ shared personal, relatable stories about common experiences and lessons learned.
